Position: Rights-Based Development Expert

Education:

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, political science, economics, international relations, social sciences, or a related area. OR

A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the mentioned areas, coupled with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 7 years (with a master’s degree) or 9 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible experience in the human rights and development sector, with field experience in Pakistan being essential.
  2. Strong track record of providing policy and strategic-level technical advice on democratic governance in a senior role within a multilateral setting.
  3. In-depth knowledge and understanding of human rights, social inclusion, and community stabilization in Pakistan.
  4. Proven professional experience in governance, human rights, gender-sensitive programming, and inclusive multi-year program development and implementation, with hands-on field experience in Pakistan.
  5. Familiarity with UN policies, processes, and programming frameworks is advantageous.
  6. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to operate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  7. Field experience in crisis/conflict/complex contexts in Pakistan is highly desirable.
  8. Experience in report writing, drafting policy briefs, strategic program documents, and related documentation.
