Education:
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, political science, economics, international relations, social sciences, or a related area. OR
A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the mentioned areas, coupled with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years (with a master’s degree) or 9 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible experience in the human rights and development sector, with field experience in Pakistan being essential.
- Strong track record of providing policy and strategic-level technical advice on democratic governance in a senior role within a multilateral setting.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of human rights, social inclusion, and community stabilization in Pakistan.
- Proven professional experience in governance, human rights, gender-sensitive programming, and inclusive multi-year program development and implementation, with hands-on field experience in Pakistan.
- Familiarity with UN policies, processes, and programming frameworks is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to operate effectively across organizational boundaries.
- Field experience in crisis/conflict/complex contexts in Pakistan is highly desirable.
- Experience in report writing, drafting policy briefs, strategic program documents, and related documentation.
